OUR MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of Veteran's Assistance Commissions (VACs) is to improve the quality of life for honorably served veterans and their families by providing temporary emergency financial aid, assisting with VA federal claims, offering transportation to medical centers, and connecting them with vital local, state, and federal resources, acting as a bridge to earned benefits and support services.

Assistance with accessing official military records.

VETERAN'S SERVICE OFFICERS

Assist with Military Connected Disability Claims and indigent Veteran Services.

Grants to Veteran Supportive Organizations

The Veterans Assistance Commission of McLean County additionally provides grants to organizations that provide services, programming, and resources to the Veterans of McLean County.

GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS

One time grant to aid with a critical needs such as vital household repairs, accessibility access, or a primary health and safety need.

Veterans and their families can “Shop” at the VAC Food Pantry as frequently as every two weeks. Some hygiene and household products may be available.

TEMPORARY FINANCIAL AID

Temporary Financial Assistance is available to aid Veterans and Families of Veterans.

Limited Short-Term Emergency Assistance for Rent, Mortgage, or Utility payments is available to Veterans. Eligibility Requirements:
